I dare anyone to find a better barista than that tall guy. Would love to see something done better at home!

This place is pretty serious after 6 some months...

I moved to Waterloo, and it seemed only reasonable to buy a car to commute to work (The Waterloo/Kitchener area isn't very bus friendly, nor bike safe), and to get to and from Toronto since Waterloo wasn't my first place of choice.
I needed a car, and decided against a used one since my lack of knowledge and handy father or boyfriend was an issue, it seemed to make sense to buy a new car... and by buy I mean finance.
Now, I'm living in Toronto. It's absolutely impractical to have a car. Getting rid of a brand new car after four months is an insane loss of money. So, it's parked with insurance at the minimum, and not being driven yet being paid for.

I guess that's the "risk" of buying a car. Circumstances change.

We completely agree! Better than a Starbucks, which admittedly we're not fond of. It competes with the cappuccino we make at home, but I prefer our own beans so it's still slight advantage: home.

But there's no doubt that a place like that is great for the downtown, and we do intend to visit semi-regularly even if just for the ambiance or to give Joe a break from barista duty at home.

We spent a good chunk of last Friday morning in there and it was busy the whole time. I hope that's not just the novelty factor. I'd love to see it stick around for a long time.

Let us know when we can expect that bar! ;)

For a great video check out Toronto councilor Adam Vaughan on City TV from a meeting on July 28. He confronts the KPMG consultants who are suggesting privatization of parts of the TTC. Apparently it was a disasterous experiment in Melbourne Australia.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll look in to some of those things, such as swype. The battery percentage only seems to appear on the lock screen when charging, and for the camera I'm hoping to find a solution that doesn't involve having to frequently adjust the volume.
